How can you get a Zoom interview (for kids)? Will I need to travel down just for kids interviews? (DW, I and my oldest all have GE already).
I'm assuming you didn't get that option in the end?

I realized I had a passport issue, so didn’t sign up yet.

I just got denied for global entry never did anything wrong is there a way to find out why and anything to do about it?
You can appeal to the Ombudsman which I successfully did when I was once denied

Dumb question, but I assume you need an unexpired passport to sign up - correct?

I believe so. Their website states: "You will need to bring your valid passport(s) and one other form of identification, such as a driver’s license or ID card to the interview. If you are a lawful permanent resident, you must present your machine readable permanent resident card."

The word "Valid" would imply expired passports are not acceptable

I received an email to come for an interview when I arrive. Just wondering, can I go for my interview when I’m flying outbound?

Also, once approved for GE and TSA is there any benefit of having CLEAR?

Clear helps you cut the security line outbound

clearly shows that you never used clear. Why discount skipping the line, which so HUGE.....I used it twice already, and am loving it. I skipped 30 minutes of wait in one instance.

Thank you. How about the first question, can I go for an interview in Newark after going through security or only when I come back into the country?

Does clear or GE work in other countries as well?

Do they ever accommodate walk ins at EWR, or only appointments?

My experience was the opposite unless things changed or maybe you are referring to interview on arrival

Just used GE for the first time in a while, didn't need to scan my passport, my face told the whole story. Cool and a little scary.
Had the same when flying SFO - tlv, no boarding pass to board, just a face scan. Not sure how united had my face imprint, I guess passport?

Yes. If you fly domestically often and get clear for free, definitely.

Applied for my kids. They all got conditional approval. My two questions:

- Does the Known Traveler ID that they receive work for Pre-check before their interview?
- Do I need to wait until I return from overseas for their interview, or can I just schedule it now so that I can reap the benefits of TSA Pre Check on my next flight?

More often than not these days because of corona and whatever else they want to blame things on tsa pre is closed at random times during the day and in some cases always, so you’ll be in the regular security lines. If you have clear you can save an hour even if you have tsa pre. If the tsa pre line is closed and you don’t have clear and you were banking on tsa pre to make your flight, then it’s worth way more than the fee, even in every other time you save 45 seconds because there is no line in pre check.
