what does lapse mean?
The website still says application pending wtvr that means

lapse means that there was a period of time where your global entry membership had ended...for example if your membership ended in Jan'21 and you didn't apply again till Jul'21 that would mean it had lapsed.

Most people that had very quick approval were renewing a membership that hadn't lapsed. This might be why yours is taking longer, maybe it's considered a new application

Keep on checking a few times a day. People cancel appointments, and the availability opens up right away.
I have had always success finding within a week.

My experience in JFK:
I was in the airport already. Went to cbp office to ask if they did walk in. They said to book online for that day, even though the opening was for later. Then they let me in earlier, even though the appointment was for later that day.

Two random questions:

1. My kids and DW were conditionally approved, using their application #'s as a Known Traveler Number, will that work for Pre-Check until they are fully approved?

2. Can we interview upon arrival domestically? I.e. We are flying to Florida for Pesach, can I just walk into CBP in FLL and ask for them to be interviewed?

Dw is applying for GE. They say to use name on passport but that is her maiden name and legally she uses her married name for everything else. What name should we use?

Passport. When you get a new passport, update the GE info.

Yes, you're not showing them those IDs.

Yes. And bring passport for ID instead of just drivers license.

that's annoying. Plus all her frequent flyer programs are with married name so I guess she wouldn't get points for future flights

So get a new passport now if it bothers you.
