What will happen to everyone who was conditionally approved? Have to redo the application?

When you log in does it still show your status as Conditionally Approved?

My application went from "Pending Approval" to "You have no applications in progress".

Sharp move by Cuomo. He's offering to share data on an opt in basis. If the administration doesn't allow that, it probably wouldn't stand up in court.

What does opt in mean? That's how it works now, you give your license number obviously they are going to check it.

Except that right now they don't share it. He's offering to share it, if the applicant opted in, in other words, of someone applies for GE, or a federal job, etc.

Allegedly under the new NY law, the federal government is completely cut off from dmv records. This would allow them in for applicants only - so it would preserve the goal of not sharing dmv info on undocumented immigrants.

I am not sure if other states limit the DMVs access to opt-in records, but I do believe that one or two states will let you get driving and demographic info, but do not include any citizenship information. I.e. the federal government can get the addresss and driving record of ANY driver, but has no access to their citizenship information.

I have 4 Applications which were pre approved all I need is to finish with the interview any chance it will go through?

Or will this only effect those who weren't approved as of yet and application was in pending status?

I don't think they can issue the card at this point.

I guess I'll go into the applications and see what's what. I was aiming for Nexus so I guess I can scrap that idea!
