Extra kids in Hotel room in Italy

I read online they are strict in Italy on extra kids in the Hotel room ...I have 4 kids with me (7 and under)....any experience?
Hoping will get upgrade to bigger room with status, but u never know....Can I sneak them in or are they really tough?
I will be staying at Westin Excelsior, AC hotel, Sheraton and Die Dagii Venice

European hotels are way stricter about this kind. Of stuff than American ones. Not saying you can’t do it, just keep that in mind.

Standard rooms in Europe are pretty small and only have either 1 king or 2 twin beds.

I think you'll have a hard type physically having space for 6 people in a single room.

I have done it before. My suggestion: sneak them in. Have your wife come in later when check in is busy... They can be close minded, if it says max 3 ppl per room including kids, they don't have the mental capacity to be flexible. Just as Alitalia won't allow more than 6 infants on a plane.

Because of some room sizes and fire department law, very hard to do it in Europe, some people have one check in and the others follow, all depends on the location of the service desk, how vigilant employees are, size of hotel etc, harder to do this in smaller hotels.
