Iv'e mentioned before how I went to Jamaica in search of the best blue mountain coffee. After months of work my friends have finally been able to import it.
I got us DDF'rs a 20% off promo (valid until Sunday 7/1/18)

Have you ever seen blue mountain go for less?

I have personally gone to most of the top coffee growing regions - and tried 100s of botique coffees. This one is hands down the best of all.

I drink 4-5 cups a day. I wish I did it right, but I'm too lazy to grind and brew and too cheap to do nespresso. So I use Kirkland kcups, either one. I'll pick up a blonde ice coffee a couple of times a week.
All is black, no sugar.
Shabbos is tasters choice, or via, yom tov French press.

I used to go here frequently, on the lower east side. https://roastingplant.com they roast the beans in small batches frequently and have this cool vacuum machine that pulls and grinds the beans for hot specifically. And they had a discount for using credit cards over cash

IIRC via is not all previously cooked and therefore a potential issue on shabbos?

True. I wasn't thinking about kli shlishi, and this is better than tea because of the PMG which is matir kli shlishio for bishul achar afiya.

Interestingly though,

I am interested in your research regarding using Starbucks Via on Shabbos?

Some have ruled that it is permitted to use this product on Shabbos, but after carefully considering the issues, Rav Reiss has ruled that it should not.

Haven't done tremendous research, here's the most that they're going to divulge - http://fortune.com/2009/10/02/starbucks-new-high-tech-coffee/
I don't know what R Reiss' position is on tea, but I can't see how this is worse.

picked up this KGB stuff last time Target had a BOGO 50%. An awesome dark roast. Full of punch but not bitter.

@aygart to totally derail this thread, we could discuss why more people, who use timers for everything, don't put their coffee machine on a timer for shabbos morning. I wouldn't expect you to since you probably don't use a timer for lights, but for those that do...

Why would someone use a timer for lights?

supposedly The Chasam Sofer would use a rope containing sulfer as a fuse, and light it before Shabbos. They would thereby brew their coffee for Shabbos morning.
