Right. And if you know who that person is and his/her standards,  that might be meaningful. Not so when stated anonymously.

The wiki here needs major work, but maybe when we get round to updating it, we can all write some ground rules for kashrus questions on the thread, such as

"Mehadrin" as a term means better than rabbanut regular
Questions about specific resturant kashrus will be answered to the best of our ability withh sources
When asking about wheather you can eat in a particular place, please provide us some idea what/where you eat in the US

1. if that anonymous person says in detail what they found out and maybe from whom; why would that not be at least be somewhat helpful.
2.  if you dont know anyone else that ate there its better than nothing.

Agree on 1 to some degree. Don't think 2 works for me, but each to his/her own.

I'm a fan of calling up the mashgiach directly if need up to date answers
They work under the standards of the issuing agency, and they're all yirei Hashem, and can tell you what the current status of the kashrus is.

You're making wild assuptions about who the mashgichim are, especialy in a town where you have no other reliable source.

I remember my father asking our Rav Zt"l about using a particular hechsher and when he was told "better find a different one" (which in general was the worst thing he would say about a hechsher), he asked the Rav why is it no good?, we know these members of community who are the mashgichim? and the Rav's answer was: Ha Gufa. (You know who the mashgichim are, (and therefore you know what they know and how capable they are) and that's exactly why you should find a better one)

Pizza looks yummy. Wouldn't eat it, though.  Badatz Mehadrin Y-m doesn't make my top hechsher list (and I don't eat 50 hechsherim).
