I ate there for the first time last night and the  vilda nasheri and burnt ends were amazing. At the last DO year I only drank... ( @Dan the beer flights are no longer on the menu so I cant nock them over again)

Tried seeing if a recognized chain operates nearby, but didn't find anything. In any case, those might not be unique enough for you.
I assumed Bnei Brak is too far (and possibly wrong vibes?) and ignored those.

Regina is under Chabad. Food is OK. 10% off via eluna.

Lechem Basar in the Namal and in Herzliya Marina is Machpud. Food is pretty good.

Cafe Cafe in Herzliya Marina is Machpud.

Ayesha Felafal in the shuk is now Rabanut Mehadrin Jlem and is amazing!
Possibly the best felafel and pita in the world.

La Piedra (Rabanut Mehadrin Jlem) is incredible! Don't miss the white forest mushroom pie.

Craft Pizza (Rabanut Mehadrin Jlem) in the city is very good, much better than Craft in the Shuk.

Knafe Jerusalem  (Rabanut Mehadrin Jlem) in the shuk is fantastic!

Haven't been to plaza for about two years. Then it was 250nis including vat.

King David has good food - but I don't think it's the right hechsher for you

Pitmaster Jerusalem (Machpud) is an awesome experience!

Some truly outstanding dishes, some mediocre, unlimited wine, beer, and soft drinks, and a great time is had by all for a very reasonable price! Probably the best food experience in Israel overall, though not everyone will like the noise and vibe.

Key is just having a very small amount of each dish, or you won't have any space to eat the final courses.

Book early for an inside seat, but check back very frequently for cancelations that pop up.

Lots of very pretty pastries in Gagou de Paris (Rab Mehadrin Jlem), but I think the best is the regular chocolate croissant. Delicious!
