I was told that they are not to be relied on - unlike Machpud where it’s more of a Sefardi/Ashkenazi thing.

Ok, I'm assuming this will open up a can of worms, but can anyone recommend a nice place (hotel?) for Shabbos lunch in Jerusalem (staying at 21st floor hotel) that has a reliable hechsher? I realize "reliable' is subjective, but if I have a starting point with some suggestions, I can check into the specifics myself.

There are people in the leadership who are well known not be honest.

I personally eat dairy but not meat unless I can find info on specific Shechita.

Nothing. ETA Maybe certain parts of animals according to some Poskim, unlike RMF, that Asheknazim should not eat it since they lack Mesorah.
