Gamgam is an absolute zoo in August. But Rome isn't a great shabbos destination. Any other options?

Never been there in the height of the summer, but if you pay for Gam Gam and get a reserved table is it still such a zoo?

I’m going to be in Venice for one shabbos and Rome another in the middle of August what should I know before hand to make sure I have a table and food to eat on shabbos

For Venice, book in Gam Gam or the gallery asap, I think.

I stayed at an AirBNB in Rome and bought a Shabbos package from Little Tripoli.
We had a proper Shabbos experience eating at our apt, and walked around a bit on Shabbos afternoon.

Go to Venice and bring meat and chicken with you. Supplement rolls and wine etc...

We did that! Found it was more worth it, price wise, we went a budget ( to an extent). We left Israel Thursday night and got to Venice on Friday so our meat and chichken were fine.
Most people wont go for it and will just eat by Gam Gam etc... but it is an option for people who want to save the money.

I'm going first shabbos in August and gallery was already booked up last week. Had to pay for restaurant.

There are 3 options for Shabbos meals with Chabad/Gam Gam:

1.Chabad of Venice offers a Kiddush after synagogue services. Both Friday night & Shabbat day: Kiddush, challah & a light meal is served. No reservations necessary, all are welcome. On a donation basis, Suggested Donation: Adult €36 Children under 12 €18 

2. Chabad of Venice's Shabbat in the Gallery - by reservation only.

As per the Venice Master Thread, the kiddish option isn't perfect for everyone, as in the summer there are a few shifts and you might end up eating very late at night and apparently sometimes some of the food runs low later in the night.
