I am looking to rent a car for the July and August. Using no codes or anything (don't have any) the cheapest car is $800-$1000 per month. Any ideas or suggestions.

I've tried areas where transportation is available (bus, train..) like CT, PA, NJ. No luck. All totals for 2 months over $2,000

Try calling a Hertz location there, like the Lakewood one, or Toms River, he should give you for $700 a month.
