DL, UA, AA red eyes have a huge variance based on flight crew. VX/AS/B6 probably averages better on the soft product

Southwest is also pretty good. There are a few things that might bother some people but on my flight from the east coast to lax , friendly cabin crew, clean cabin, seating was decient, wifi was available for $8 but browsing southwest.com was free.

Took a red eye last night from LAX to Washington dalles airport. Short flight but lots of turbulence, unfriendly staff, no food nor drink, expensive, poor quality entertainment system on top of crammed economy class seats.

I know I'm complaining too much. Kinda my 2nd time flying domestic in USA (I'm Aussie). But has anyone experienced the same thing and have you flown the same route on a better airline or time?
