@pipe.official is a scammer. Sold me $2100 of UA TB (gifted to my account). 2 days later, all TB has been removed from my account and united has put restriction on my account for travel bank fraud. Presuming he used a stolen card to gift travel bank. BEWARE

Can you ask United for the exact reason they took this action?

My account is restricted for "travel bank fraud". I was asked to email my ID to mpcompliance@united.com. Agents wont answer any further questions.

Maybe the fraud is rather related to it being a large amount bought all of a sudden by the seller, rather than something wrong with the card? I'm not saying that the cc wasn't the issue, but I it's hard to know when these people won't give you any more info. Very frustrating.

Would you consider sending your ID and see what happens?

I would have believed that if the seller was responsive. The seller has ignored my messages and calls since this evening. I have shared my ID with United, lets see. Very frustrating. Apart from losing money to this scammer, it would suck if I lose my United account (which is primarily the airline I fly for personal and business)

$2100 seems like it would be worth pursuing a small claims for.
