Lol, I was going to answer a similar response , meaning why not get the free plan for a family member and for yourself the 15$ plan, does it hurt to have both? Or if you dont need its a waste of 15$+tax for 1 year.

Don't think so if SD forums are correct. I added a 2nd line (had a spare phone lying around) and got a "temporary" phone number, ported out the number from the 1st line which closed the line, then called 2 days later and ported the number back in on the 2nd line. A hassle, but for $0/month ($3.40 with taxes) it's worth it. Better than RingPlus ever was.

The "temporary" number is so your not without service in between?
This will change the second line into a free one?

I have the sprint free unlimited plan with 5 lines. I need to buy two new iPhones for my DS and DD. What’s my best approach?
Port them both to another carrier?
Have one of them port back to Sprint with a new iPhone purchase, and then get the second iPhone free, with the other line posted back to the second iPhone?
So, can they both get free for a year? Or is there additional fee now for the second line?

I feel so confused.  Thanks in advance for any help.
