Tougher for the mom to leave when she's nursing, etc.
You kill two birds with one stone. Kids go with her!  :)
I just found a new supply of forks!

Generally speaking it's also more fun and more economical.

Itís also a good idea to pick up the habit now, so when you retire you donít hang around the house and afflict your wife with retired husband syndrome ( for those that wonít end up back in the beis Medrash)....

My wife loves to travel and I don't. I tell her go and she does. I wonder how many here would do the same.

Find friends who are chassidish. My understanding is that it is very common for the women to go on trips together, or for the men to travel without their wives.

You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used to start a religious discussion.

Something you shouldve discussed during dating. I told my wife during the first date I wanted to see the world and she agreed.

Way more important things to discuss. This is one of those things that should not be a dealbreaker

My wife loves to travel, but her idea of fun trips aren't always the same as my idea. She was more than happy to let me go on a less than two week trip to Australia, as long as I arranged that she wouldn't be alone. I'm making it up to her with a surprise trip to LA, which is much more her speed.

so I love to travel but my wife really does not. (dont worry i did not come here for shalom bayis tips :P)
i sometimes think of just going on trips myself or with friends. is this something any of you ever did? or how do you deal with a spouse that really does not like to travel?

P.S. i hope certain comments wont make me regret writing this ;D
Have you taken her in first international and stayed at a 5 star hotel?

There are levels of traveling, and if she has bad memories from being a kid, she might change her mind if she has a different experience.

We don't judge here :)

This is probably very common. There are plenty of trips you can do with kids, but of course many trips are much better without.

I have gone many times with kids. Some ended up being more successful than others. But many trips simply cant be done. Not fair to shlep the kids and wake them whenever just to satisfy my travel needs. My kids are still young
