Having just gone through a claim against an allstate insured I think you should know that they are extremely stingy when paying out. Every one I spoke to right away said allstate was the worst, including the car rental place and auto body shop. They haggled over every dollar, refusing to replace a broken part with a new one, instead only paying for a used part. Also deducted money from their payment since part of the part that needed to be replaced had preexisting damage, even though the whole part needed to be replaced anyway.
as long as they pay the insured (me) fast I don't care if they haggle with a claimant
Paying out to their insured and paying out to a claimant are 2 very different things.
How many hear have a separate policy from there home insurance to insure wife’s jewelry (i.e. diamond ring). Was wondering if it made sense.
We have it added to renters insurance. We had everything appraised and added it on to policy.
Can insurance companies just get rid of you like that, because they had to pay out?
big fan of nationwide! i live in lkwd but got it through frum agent in baltimore a few friends suggested and was even cheaper than going through the actual company directly. they helped me with my other policy's as well!
What are you paying?
every policy is different taking into account all details but worth checking into
Just to explain Kids that are away at school can only drive occasionally and arw not required to be listed on policy. The thing is if you tell the insurance company about the kids in the first place they start asking for lots of documents to prove that the kid is in school. So a common practice is to avoid reporting this in the first place and only dealing with reporting and proving when a claim is filed and it's necessary.
