no I called up and I said someone left me a VM a few days ago . I can't remember who it was and they had the record of who I was dealing with. So they transferred me to her.

I had my account notated for 5721 on 8/10/11, I even wrote down the time I called and the name of the MR CSR I spoke with. I sent an SM yesterday requesting the points and they replied with, "We do not show records that you were solicited for this offer, sorry."

Should I fight it and take it to the executive office?

Just got a letter confirming that even though Im not eligible yada yada ... if I spend 1k per AU card within 3 months of getting them I will get 10k per card

. Thats in about 10 days!!

how am I spending 15x1k on Amex without a FR

150k MR might be worth the risk...

Got a few friends with Square/Amazon Pmts? With AP you can do $1k today and $1k tomorrow (per account.

I would think $5k a month for 3 months shouldn't be too big of a deal

You're sure its not 3 months from the date of the letter?

I might consider calling the ECSR to have that offer modified... just a thought.

The letter was quite clear will try to spend if I still can't will try to call.

I went to askamex on twitter for help in getting my 5721 promo honored, they gave me 25k points as good will.

Should I still write to corporate or call and try to get the rest of my points?

i just got a negative sm reply from a sapphire request i made -- re sent the request , got another negative reply with ---if want to speak call xxxxxx-- made the call and the plea -- reply was "we have given you many adt'l points -- in two months u spent $7300.00 on card and have 151k i will put in for an investigation as to why " --maybe best to leave sleeping dogs sleep

i have never heard of a claw back -- but-- to be safe i moved all my points to co

If you've got other UR accounts, you can just shift most of them to another account and it's much less likely they'll notice.

(that's not for SPLP, it's for other people considering sending an SM)

I guess the worst they could say is no, but I still wouldn't do it.

just got the whole 50k by sending total of 3 twitter messages to @askamex without having to argue at all. just got the message in a few pieces but it starts "Ok, you are in luck. We are honoring the promotion as a one time exception. Technically, you should not have been eligible for this promo..."
