Amex Platinum for second time

I had the Amex Platinum card, got $200 in airline credits, received 50,000 points, and then cancelled and got my $450 refunded.
I cancelled about 40 days ago.

Recently I was told I should try again, this time getting 25,000 points after spending $1000 in 3 months, and then I should call and ask to get an additional 75,000 points to match some other offer.

My questions for the scholars here are as follows:
1 - Will I realistically get approved for this card if I just had it and cancelled about 40 days ago?
2 - If not, how long should I wait?
3 - Will I realistically get the extra 75,000 points?
4 - Is Dan, or anyone else, still buying Continental airline credits?

I've bought dozens of people's CO credit on the Plat cards.  Currently paying $150 immediately upon purchase.

Someone posed to me the followed question. She has a platinum card which she signed up 20 years ago which had no annual fee. Can she get a new platinum card now and get the bonus or does she have to cancel her other one first?

I just got my 3rd Platinum this year. I had (maybe foolishly) SM'd them to advance me my 50K points and Social Media responded that since I already had 2 cards that the bonus offer is not for me.

Any suggestions? I already spent $1K. Do I call up or hop that when statement closes then it will automatically kick in?

has anyone had experience with having two plat cards open at the same time. i was just targeted for another 100k for the second time in 2 months. still have one card open. would like to apply for the second one.

I had so far 3 plats this year 1x50k 2x100k
but it gets harder and harder each time because they see how many bonus's you have already gotten for past plat cards

2- I got my annual fee waived ,I figured I may as well keep it for the year or am i better off closing it?
