If it was Schwab or Fidelity (I have both) I could give you step by step instructions.

Would you mind doing so?

If it was Schwab or Fidelity (I have both) I could give you step by step instructions. I found this post and it says you have to call Chase. I would call them anyway and they should be able to walk you through it.

You would want to make sure they do not.

"It's more than a name. It's who you are.
We see you and we share your pride. True NameTM is a new feature provided by T‑Mobile MONEY that lets you feel empowered with a debit card that reflects who you truly are. Simply add the name you identify with, approve how it looks on your card, and be your true self with every transaction. Your identity will always be supported when you bank with T‑Mobile MONEY." I wouldn't use this. What if my identity changes by the hour? i cant limit myself to a firm cardholder name

the 4 is if you have a phone with them.

Not sure if I should post this in the Lakewood thread. Are there any local banks in Lakewood area that offer a decent rate on a savings account?

In general for savings account are there fees to transfer money to a checking account (for the sending bank and receiving bank)?

I think the online banks generally have significantly better rates for savings accounts. As long as you have internet access, they're FDIC insured, and they have free transfers, I'm not sure of major downsides of using them for most case instances. (There are banks offering 4+% APY with no minimum or maximum or account fees - see links in beginning of thread.)

Yes I'm aware. I just decided to open one up online.

When doing a electric funds transfer (I think that's an ach transfer) to fund the savings account are there any fees that the funding back can charge?

My main concern with online savings account is that in case I need it I don't want to have to wait a few days to transfer money into a checking account.

I could do a wire which is instant (I think) but will have some fee.

Normally no but always check your banks terms. Wire transfers (not ach) is a different story.

Btw, Discover savings account has Zelle. I'm sure others do as well.

I'm not from Lakewood but C1 has great rates and might have drivable branches. Either way their checking account has zelle and transfers from savings to checking are instant.

What is the limit? CIT (checking) also does, but only $500 a day.
