Their online banking is in a different league than any other bank I've used. It's not comparable.

Just because it's better than other banks you've used in the past doesn't mean that there aren't other banks that are just as good.

I actually like USAA quite a bit (especially for their ACH hub, allowing me to move money between various banks for no charge).

I opened a Chase account during the good old Freedom 10+10 days, and really have nothing going on there other than a $500 monthly ACH coming in and used to pay whatever Chase CC needs attention, in order to avoid the monthly fee. Is there any reason to shut down this account?

I find USAA a royal pain. Decent site, but they make me get a verification code everyday I log in, as well as each time I want to QP. which is also awkwardly positioned on the site. Additionally the mobile site is horrendous

Haven't had verification code issues with USAA. Couldn't find Zelle (QP) on the main site, only use it with their app. But the funds availability is great, the ability to temporarily increase ATM limit is great. ATM fee refunds are great. High mobile deposit limits. Plain desktop scanner deposit option. And I really love the ACH hub (which also helps avoid fees with other banks that have a direct deposit requirement for avoiding fees).

Check your settings. You should only have to enter a verification code for 2FA, if you're using a new browser or device.

No reason not to pay directly with TD.
