have few costumer's - relative's got there credit cards shutdown
they don't bank with chase, and yes part of the NY tri state area shutdowns

There are many people that had their CC's closed and their bank accounts kept open, myself included.

One second, we're changing the subject here. We started off with people doing stuff (or, supposedly, not doing stuff) in their checking accounts that was getting their CC shut down. Now we're just talking about cards getting shut down, which has been happening since @ilherman hysterics 5 years ago, without having checking accounts. That's a whole different kettle of fish.

What this thread is about is people who get their CC shut in result of a bank account shut down, not because of anything wrong done with the CC

For option 1, Don't do anything stupid with your bank account.
For number 2, they'll come up with another excuse if you don't bank with them, possibly one that'll uphold better in court.

you miss the point, why give them another reason to close you, the bank accounts if only features nothing really beneficial, CC is money

My point is it isn't another reason, it's another excuse which they can come up with other false ones.

My wife's cc's got shut down a couple years ago, she never had a bank account with them. I think it was paying CC's with different name bank accounts.

That's not why many people do it, people who buy for buying groups and don't want the money from them to go through the account.
