My wife's was shut down a couple years ago, mine was BH not touched in any way, have a big relationship with Chase, biz, cc, personal

I assume because we paid her account with third party checks.

Shutdowns don't normally effect households.

chase sent me a letter that their closing my newly opened checking account in 2 weeks. is it still possible that i may get the 300 dollar checking account bonus? I me the dd requirement last wednesday? and chase always says that they will pulll the bonus back if chase or you close the account in 6 months of opening what does that mean? if i pull out everything before they close what could they possibly take ?

Send you a bill?

They can report a negative closing balance to your Chexsystems

I don't have any advice for you... But can you help us understand why chase would shut you down? Do you have a history of credit cards with Chase?

s if you were in the same situation as me you would not take out everything from the account before chase closes? you owuld leave the 300 dollars in there fro them to take out?

Any idea why they closed your cards? How long is your history with Chase?

A fairly simple way to avoid problems with chase regarding buying group checks ( which was explained as suspicious bc the same amount of money coming in is going out pretty quickly etc.) would be to pay cc the old fashion way no? When the bill comes in the mail mail them back a check. It never enters your bank account and why should it?
Did I miss anything aside from everyone saying who gets real mail these days ?
