If I applied and got approved for a chase ink card last week. I want to apply for a chase personal card this week. Should I be nervous of getting shut down?

Depends where you're up to with 5/24... I would say go for it! Anything you do with Chase can backfire, but it still may be worth the risk. You're accumulating more points...

I think i remember reading that chase has been shutting down people that have opened accounts with them in as long as 6 months previous. Not sure abt it though

The hammer hits: I got shut down suddenly, no warning. ALL chase cards, including business cards on a different log in. Checking accounts remained open. I was pretty clean with Chase; never sold points, paid off timely and in full throughout, have a relationship with them for 8+ years, normal spend. I recently opened a Marriott, 2nd IHG card, and a British airways card. between June and September. Never engaged in churning (the only card I've closed in the past and have applied for again was SW and this last BA card.) Any insight from survivors out there?

Called them?
Call the number in Wiki see what they say.
Depending in the reason they closed you, you might be lucky and have them reopen.

I called one of my regular cc lines when I noticed repeated declines for purchase attempts, they told me account is closed and that I'm being transferred to lending dept. which was closed for the day. Where do I potentially run a better chance? In person at  a branch, or calling the number you mentioned tomorrow during biz hours??

FYI that is how I found out Chase shut me down. The branch can not help you. The main branch tells the manager not to mix in.

Great, B"H. What was their issue with you?

I unintentionally maxed out one card (was trying to meet spend threshold and didn't consolidate sufficiently to make a large enough credit line available on that card, a family member made a large purchase on the card as well, without prior notification) They also wanted to know why I had so many cards open and why some show mostly dormant activity. I answered all questions honestly, after which the agent referred my account for a second review and it took about 2-3 business days for them to reopen.
