Please show me where I called an individual a racist in this thread? You asked me about policies/rules and I answered it straight up. Something most here are not capable of doing.
correct. I asked you if certain practices are racist. You answered affirmatively. I then informed you that those are common place kosher practices of which most on this forum follow.
I didn't call anyone a racist. You went from if I believe "A" I must also believe "B".
We should not be in the business of labeling people who Gedolim (in this case Rav Ovadya) paskened are Jewish as Safek Jews.
OK and like said:
How does that answer why those that underwent Geirus Lechumra can't work there?
The Eda Haredit inspector supervising Barkan confirmed to Kan that he does not allow most of the Ethiopian employees to touch the wine...
We are not the ones labeling them as Safek. It's E"H who is doing so and they have the right to pasken differently than Maran.
I'm not sure that someones Chazaka of Kasharus is allowed to be the subject of a machlokes years later.
Haven't found the ynet article mgarfin quoted as saying this. FWIW, the original article said:And nobody is being fired or rejected from employment. They moved people to jobs that don't bring them into contact with the wine.
Years later? Did they EVER agree with Chacham Ovadia about this?
Nope.
Basically, you're trying to argue that certain religious rules/practices are racist, but that the people who follow those rules/practices aren't necessarily racist. That's pretty illogical. Maybe you can elaborate?
I am not arguing anything. I stated my view. I give individuals extreme leeway when they truly follow the teachings of their religion.
One thing I can tell you is that the consensus among Chareidi rabbis at the time was to only consider them to be possible and not definite Jews.
Barakan wines suck.
