TPG wrote about it today. Very few details about the card in their article though.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Amazon purchase Office Max/Office Depot since the feds scuttled the Staples merger.

For those interested in the card, it was available for some time, and now has a $150 (was $125) amazon gift card for getting approved to the prime version.
Do to the fact that i don't think dan is able to get a referral bonus for this (at last as of now), probably easiest to sign up straight thru your amazon account.
Unfortunately, this card can't be self-referred as of now ☹.
To add, as of now at least, if approved you"ll get a year of Amazon Business prime essentials ($179 value).

I got this card recently and I wanted to cash out the rewards in the form of amazon GC. It would only let me do so for physical gc (not egc). I ordered $1k (2x500) PGC using 100k rewards points. The order for my PGC purchase shows "reward points used" yet I have a $1k charge on my cc (posted - not just authorized). Is cashing out rewards via buying amazon gc not doable? Was this a mistake? Or will this charge get reversed/refunded automatically?
Anyone know?

I think it's similar system to when you book on amex travel via points. They put a charge on your CC and then credit you for the points. That's how it worked when I used 100 amazon points.

I'm looking for a new card for use mainly on Amazon. I have 2 of the Ink Cash cards so I can always get great value though buying GC's at office supply stores but I haven't actually done that. Too much of a hassle.

1. So just for Amazon spend, what's the better card? The Chase Amazon Personal or this Amex Amazon Biz? Another card?

2. can you get this card using Sole Proprietor like other names Biz cards?

3. Looking at reviews on Amazon for the Amex and they're pretty terrible. Anyone with information or personal experience about this?
Common sense is not a gift, it is a punishment.
Because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Can't comment, I only have the Amex

yes

I don't know what the specific issues are coming up in the reviews but I'm pretty happy with it. There is definitely a few months delay in recognizing the 5% discount based on the way they grant the point and their redemption system, but ultimately you do get the full 5%.

Thanks. A couple more questions
1. Did you get a decent spending limit?
2. Did you need to set up an Amazon biz account?
3. Did you apply though your personal Prime account?

Can also use on personal. I used up the $150 amazon gc on the biz account and then haven't touched it since.

Got the Amex Amazon Biz card with a temp CL of $500. It was supposed to update to the full 3k approved CL when I confirmed receiving card.

Problem is it's not updating. And it's been over a week.
This past week I chatted, called reg CS and called account services. No one can help.

They all say that from their end they see that I should be receiving my full credit line and no idea why it's stuck at $500. They don't know what tho do. Just very weird.
I tried using the spending power feature on the card and was declined for 2k so it obviously still thinks my CL is $500.

Had anyone had this issue with Amex?
Anyone here have similar issue?
