there are much simpler ways of doing it, and if you want the old fashion way sell a pencil for .99 4rather than this, especilly that he is risking of getting bad feed back when the consumer will find out that he can get it free and even some points when purchasing.

The buyer can be a scammer - after getting the card he'll tell eBay it wasn't full, and they'll refund.

Still there's gotta to be a better reason.

Since this thread was started, I've been keeping an eye on the amex gc's on ebey. I noticed that they generally do sell at significantly higher than the actual value -(although not as much as the link in the op). So guess what I did - I listed an amex gc for sale on ebay. A couple of hours later I got an email from ebay that my listing was removed bec it is against rules to sell amex gc's on ebay. But I can't understand this bec everyday there are a bunch of amex gc's listed??

Maybe those also get taken down after a couple of hours. Did you ever check?
