Update: I relisted the amex gc on ebay as a BIN. I listed at 12 midnight and was sold at by 7 AM. The buyer paid me and I mailed out the gc. Two days after the "auction" ended -(which is today) - I got an email from ebay saying the listing was removed.  The whole history of that sale was deleted and now we both can't leave feedback.
I have no problem with that, the only thing I'm nervous about now is that the buyer is going to claim to paypal that the listing was deleted and I didn't keep my part and they want their money back. (Remember,  I can't leave feedback so the buyer has no worries about that) .
I'm thinking that maybe the buyer flagged the listing after purchasing in order to scam me.
should I be nervous?  Am I just overly paranoid?  Any suggestions / tips that I should do at this point?
thanx

Final update (I hope) ;
The buyer can't leave feedback bec listing was deleted. Ebay refunded the "final value fee" bec the listing was taken down. I guess the system didn't realize that the item was sold. So I ended up with $10.74 more than expected  :D .
Is it a risk to keep listing this item?  Will they just keep removing it or will they eventually shut my acct down?

If it only happened once I'd say you could try again. IF they take it down again I wouldn't re-post it.  Then they could cancel your account.

Did the buyer end up paying you?

Yes. The buyer paid me right away - before ebay removed the listing.

If it was by paypal/cc he can still dispute/chargeback.

Sold it for $122
I did this for an experiment - not to make money. Although if it would work out I would consider doing this more often.

Cost of item $105.95
Paypal fee $3.84
Postage + certified mail $3.43
Ebay listing fee   .65 cents
Profit        $8.13

Now I'm really confused -- had ebay not credited the FVF,  I - the seller - would've lost money.
So now it seems that when people buy gc's on ebay the buyer and seller both lose out! (Unless they sell for more than my selling price).

That's true.
If he initiates a claim, I will threaten to buy stuff and leave negative feedback.  Also, I sent it with certified mail so that should help me.
