You can laugh, but unless you tell me otherwise, I still think it's a smart move.Republicans would know that if they don't act fast, a hard leftist will be nominated (assuming that Biden will get the Senate along with presidency). They would rather Garland than a hard leftist, so they would push him through quickly, and their justification would be that the Dems all thought he was a great choice 4 years earlier.
But why would Trump do it?
Because otherwise a hard Leftist would get on the court.Unless he won't care anymore once he loses...
If he loses the election, he may just have a total meltdown and completely overwhelm Twitter's servers. Forget about him even pretending he's running the country. Also, the R's aren't interested in Garland. They're not going to nominate him just to stick it the D's if they think they can get someone better up there.
What makes you think he cares about that?
Chris cristi my personal favorite
Trump does not want to actually push through a nominee before the election. He is going to want to run on that platform. It will bring him votes.
Why is this threat so quiet???
Ted Cruz?! Trump must be trying to establish a basis to plead insanity.
He's obviously not going to actually nominate him. I think he's just trying to make news, to draw attention away from the Woodword comments and get people to focus on the Supreme Court - which may get him votes from Conservative never Trumpers.
AP dead or Obi dead?
Why do you say this? Do you think he is unqualified for the job?
He doesn't have experience as a judge.
