I'm just confused about the second part. Is it 9 months from opening or 6 months from when the points post?

I think it means the account must be open for 9 months. They will give half the starpoints after funding and the other half 6 months after the deposit of the first starpoints.

Can I deposit 25k into the account and then invest the money with TDAmeritrade and still get the points? Or do I have let it sit in there and can't invest it?

if I'm not mistaking TD offers interest, therefore it might be worth even if you can't invest it.

I'm not hundred percent sure   I'll have to see if I can find it but I think you get around 0.05%

I did this offer back in Sept 2011 and deposited 30k into the account, at one point my account value was down to 21k, but now it's up to 38k, will I not get the other half of my 20k Starpoints because the account dropped below 25k for a little while?
