Targeted email from AAdvantage Platinum offering 1.5 miles per $1 till 11/30/11

the offer is targeted, but i found on FT that you can get easily get approved for it (even if you didn't got the email) by calling 888-766-2484 and ask for it.

I got the offer on one of my cards. Will try calling and asking if they can apply it to the other cards as well.

Just called. They wouldn't add the offer to my other cards.

I also got the offer on my card. Just called and they had no problem adding it to another AA Platinum MC.

When i called they said they will look for any offers availible for this card, and she came back saying, sorry..... nothing

I just said that I was informed of an offer available for 50% bonus mileage and would like to take advantage of it. He put me on hold for about 30 seconds and came back and said he activated that offer...

In my case I wanted to add it to an AMEX and Visa card. Perhaps the offer only applies to MC's, as was my original offer.

Which card did you add it to? Visa, AMEX, MC? And what status level (select, plat?)

I just got this offer in the mail as well.

Meh, even 1.5aa/$1 won't encourage me to spend a dime on this card. Wake me up when they're offering >=2.5aa/$1.

Ugh, why is it always the lousy offers that I'm targeted for?

Update: I just called back and the rep said that Its not on my account and then she put me on hold -- before I knew it there was a manager on the line. She said there's no way she can add the promo to my acct , but she was able to give me 1500 good will miles.

I'd much prefer 1500 goodwill miles, that doesn't require any spend...
