« on: August 27, 2011, 10:36:45 PM »
I already help my family and friends with their tickets. Is there any way for me to profit from it?
If I register with the IATA do I get payed for every booking? How much?

CLIA is much easier to become accredited. IATA requires a minimum amount of 'revenue' per year. Hotels and cruise lines will pay 10% commission to CLIA accredited travel agents.

As far as i know, they only pay to IATA accredited agencies. There are agencies you can sign up with that will take a piece of the commission and give you the rest. PM me if you would like more info. I signed up a few years ago for the main purpose of getting deals for myself. I made a few commissions on hotels and cruises. I have since discovered priceline which is much cheaper than travel agent rates.
