CHASE/Spg card for large amounts
« on: July 03, 2018, 10:18:51 AM »
We have a business that has charges of approx. 25,000 each month.  To date we have Amex Starwoods and Chase Sapphire cards open.

Since it is not so easy to sell Chase points, and we don't really use them ourselves, we will likely accumulate a very large point balance soon, and be limited how to sell them.
what card would it make sense for us to open?  I see the CHASE Ink cards have been recommended.

Should we just stick to using only the Amex Starwoods?

What cards make sense depends on two factors.

1.  In what categories (if any) are you spending that $25K/mo in? Such as: Utilities, advertising, shipping, fuel, travel, non-categorized spend for inventory.  And in what dollar amounts?   2.  Do you have any use for a specific rewards currency?

For example, if you spend $10K/yr in office supplies and $30K/yr in shipping, you'd be better off with an AMEX SC+ with no AF than you would be with any Ink cards if you have no use for UR's.  And you'd get a higher return on that spend than you would a Spark Cash especially when accounting for the Spark AF.

You never fly anywhere, not even domestic tickets, or stay at hotels?  Why not enjoy life and start using some of your points instead of just selling them?

There are plenty of ways to enjoy life without traveling.
