An Amazon GC can be saved in your account and used for SS.
How far away is your SS date?  will they honor the MR coupon when it actually ships (and bills).

Once you go through checkout even though it doesn't or didn't ship yet your coupon you used at the time of checkout will remain.

Don't think there's anyway.
 With a gc there's ways around it but another credit card don't think so.

With a gc there's ways around it but another credit card don't think so.

Either a gc which is just a few dollars short allowing you to use a cc to finish the order payment, or pre order items which will cost more then what the gc is covering allowing you to use your amex point and savings and then cancel the pre order products.
  Play around and see what works.
