Customs @ EWR

Arriving Sunday midday into EWR via Porter airlines, if I give my self an hour to clear customs to catch an Amtrak is that cutting it too close?

If your coming from Canada you already clear customs over there.

coming from YTZ, they dont have pre clearance as far as I know!

You might consider  taking a later train from Newark Penn, a few minutes via Uber. The schedule from ewr is sparse but every Northeast stops in Newark.

I did the transfer to NJTransit from EWR last week. Arrived at 4:40 used my Global entry and was through customs in about 5 min. The Airtrain took some time though. I'd say an hour is pretty good, but consider using Newark Penn as @shmooz mentioned above in case you run into issues.

I figured with Global Entry it would be much faster, one person has Global Entry the other person does not though.

Has anyone traveled internationally through EWR lately?
Flying TLV-EWR-IAD. How long of a stopover do you need in EWR to clear passport control/Customs and make the connecting flight. Will have luggage so will have to recheck-in again too. 3 hours minimum?

My experience with it in EWR was them pushing everyone into the regular line
