for travel I can understand why this is amazing but not for everyday use where you live. Not having a basket is so hard in everyday life.

I don't think it's beauty is as a main stroller. They sell an attachable diaper bag though.

something that costs so much has no beauty if its not a main stroller, besides for the fact that it became the newest in stroller. used to be the maxi cosi that was the cool one even though it had horrible wheels now its this

I debated buying a stroller that would only work for ~1 year. Fortunately, someone bought us a City Mini, so we didn't have to buy a separate normal stroller. If you have to pay yourself for 2 strollers, I understand the concern.

However, it's been amazing as someone who lives in NYC (takes up sooo little space in our apt) and travels a lot to in-laws while paying for a seat for the baby. Going from apt to the car - just fold wheels and drop it into the base (yes, @Emkay I think the base is key) is sooo convenient. And travelling to my in laws 5-7 times in the first year (over 10 legs of flights) and just taking the Doona in the car/Uber, pushing through the airport, plopping it on the plane, pushing through the next airport, plopping it into the car ride to their house... I mean just so convenient. Funny, yesterday someone saw us at LGA and said "Don't you love that stroller?? Our son just grew out of it, we're so sad. They should pay us for all the advertising we did for them." lol but seriously, so many people have stopped me to ask about it.

i will agree that i never had 1. i have siblings that complain  about its lack of practicality besides for in and out of car

mothers going in and out of cars the whole day... a few siblings recently bought this and they swear by it.  they used to have the snap n go and say this is a lifesaver

car seat for $500? thats not what its meant for just a cars seat . its also meant as a stroller and thats where it gets impractical.  im not dead against it i just think it has chesronos... heck i may have it myself 1 day

not sure what your point is . yes people do buy expensive car seats . and if your buying the doona as an awesome carseat  than enjoy. but if your buying as a stroller also than it loses vale by losing functionality

It is both. It is like a car seat and a snap and go which you don't need to deal with separate pieces.
