He must be an incredible person to have kept them all sane and in the relatively relaxed state they were in when they were found.

As far as I understood it's not recommended to go in the caves starting July for a couple months. And ... They went in in June.

For some reason hearing about the coach and the general culture in Thailand I don't think (or hope) they will sue him.

This is why they needed two divers per kid. Diver#1 goes through the narrow section without bottles, they pass/pull the bottles through, kid swims through, Diver #2 follows.

The coach seems to have done an Amazing job (even if he lapsed in judgment in entering the cave in the first place). Helped the kids with meditation, etc.

Seen an interview with a former navy seal cave diver several days ago. He said this is a given for the safety of all involved.

Sources in the rescue operation, including divers who took part, told the BBC that the boys were heavily sedated ahead of the rescue to prevent them panicking in the dark, narrow, underwater passageways.
