Dont know what happens? Go to any SB coffee store and watch for 5 minutes you can see all that happens, not saying you can see what happens behind in the kitchen with the rinsing and washing of the dishes and utensils.
They cut and warm up your ham sandwiches and then touching the hot steaming coffee machines...

As long as they don't touch that disgusting coffee before they give me my ham sandwich I am OK!

On a serious note their ham sandwich's are actually really good. DW gets them for me when she has free ones.

Funny to see this whole petition, don't know why people thought it was kosher before they lost the semi hechsher they had?

The Star K never said that you could get hot drinks that used a steamer or any other hot drink besides for hot coffee, even then they advised getting an americano made straight into your cup. The only other drinks that they said were ok were cold frappuccinos, the reason they are no longer kosher has to do with the flavoring, not what they use to wipe their keilim with.

Like I've said, I have a friend who works at Starbucks, and I've asked him multiple questions with regards to this. His answers were far from reassuring, and there is little reason to believe that what happens at his store, doesn't happen elsewhere, although I can't say that for sure.

Up thread I posted about having hot drinks made to kids temp to avoid issues. He told me it doesn't always happen. Another example: If you order a drink requiring added flavor, and they only realize half a pump in that it's the wrong (possibly not kosher) one, they most likely will not start over. At best they'll pour it out and use the same cup. I'm sure the list goes on. Being someone who deals with this (in a kosher environment) regularly, I can imagine many other situations that you would never realize.

I want to hear a concern that a posek said it OK, and a reason that makes his understanding false.

Firstly, this was the first link to the kids temp in a Google search but I'm sure there's more out there. Second, which posek is ok with you having a non kosher flavoring, or the like, in an accidental scenario, or any scenario for that matter?
