SPG - Marriott Lifetime Status

Merged lifetime status goes into effect in 2019.

I am still only Silver lifetime.

My stats are:

Nights: 269

Years as Silver, Gold or Platinum: 12

Years as Gold or Platinum: 10

Years as Platinum: 5

I was told Feb 1 is when the new year updates - not so sure this is correct as in Dec it showed me with 56 nites and I needed 19 more nites for the  next level -- now in Jan it show "o" nites and I am platinum

I have 56 nites in 2018 with 15 credit card nights -I was told by Marriott awards I will be platinum 2019 --------Marriott awards on another call I was told my credit card nights do not count from 2018 and will not be Platinum 2019

After a bit of back and forth with the people in charge of this, here is the final reply.
Was I misinformed by @Dan about them counting stays from both programs for this?
I have been asking for a source for the “conssesions” from the first time Dan posted about it.
(Hardly any chatter on it from their source on FT too)

The reply:

In order for Members to obtain Lifetime Elite Status per our new Loyalty program requirement, the Member must meet the below Lifetime Elite Status Criteria.

Lifetime Silver Elite: 250 Qualifying Nights + 5 Years as Silver Elite, Gold Elite or Platinum Elite
Lifetime Gold Elite: 400 Qualifying Nights + 7 Years as Gold Elite or Platinum Elite
Lifetime Platinum Elite: 600 Qualifying Nights + 10 Years as Platinum Elite
***Lifetime Platinum Premier Elite: 750 Qualifying Nights + 10 Years as Platinum Elite

If you obtain Lifetime Elite status based on the Legacy programs (SPG or Marriott Rewards), kindly note that the Nights has to be achieved from stay at the individual program hotel Brands. For example of earning Lifetime Elite status per the Legacy SPG program requirement, the 250 Nights has to be from stay at SPG hotel brands and 5 years on Gold or higher.
