How can you extrapolate from the data what is the cause and what is the effect? The data would just as well support the opposite conclusion that having low income makes you more likely to have a child out of wedlock?

Maybe you can enlighten us on how the trends of single parenthood among blacks has diverged from the trends among whites. Make sure to calculate for differences in population such as using births per 1000 women.

2. Marriage happens later or not at all
3. Shift in values amongst all demographics including whites
