A couple months I was looking to switch from Verizon to AT&T and noticed that the Unlimited Family Plans from AT&T were pretty cheap. It was $105 for the base plan and $20 per line (plus taxes and fees), which means if I get 10 lines it will come out to $30.50 (plus t&f) a line for AT&Ts highest Unlimited Plan. When I got my bill I noticed that they charged $7.21 per line for taxes and fees (see photo), which includes Administrative Fee, Federal Universal Service Charge, Regularity Cost Recovery Charge, 911 Service Fee, and NJ State Sales Tax - Telecom, I've never seen so many fees on a $20 phone line, neither have I heard of most of these fees before. My question is if anyone has ever dealt with these types of fees, either with AT&T or with a different provider, and is there any way avoid them?
