I have both (my personal phone is an android and my work phone is an iPhone). I hate the iPhone. It's not intuitive and has no back button.
Off topic, but question, why carry two phones? Obligatory? If you have the option would you rather one or two

For years I wouldn't consider touching an Apple product. It was Palm -> BB -> Android, until I was forced to switch to iOS if I wanted mobile access to corporate email. There are lots of frustrating things with the iPhone, but the build quality is by far superior to anything Samsung put out.

I actually switched to the LG VN220 several months ago, and keep my old iPhone to use with wifi (or my LG as a Hotspot) whenever I need something that requires a smartphone.

While iOS can be frustrating and annoying for tech savvy users, I can definitely see reasons for it, and I think it is overall tighter and safer than almost any android build. That being said, my greatest current frustration is the fact that since the corporate IT department decided to switch their MDM provider to Microsoft Intune, SwiftKey (which is superior to iOS keyboards in almost every aspect) gets disabled when using built-in Contacts or email apps. Even worse is the fact that the forced switching to iOS keyboards whenever using contacts, messes up the keyboard once you want to use an app that is allowed to use SwiftKey.

Oh. And did I ever mention that I hate Steve Jobs for taking away physical keyboards and buttons?

I always felt that Samsung was like a fully loaded Chevy.

Should have gotten a HTC when they were around. Best Android build quality and fastest, smoothest, uncluttered UI.

I didn’t vote, there’s no option for none of the above.

I find the Pixel family vastly superior to the Samsung family. Android isn't and should not be, synonymous with Samsung

I'm very conflicted right now. i have the galaxy s7 now, (this is my third galaxy) and thinking of switching to iPhone just for the change. Trying to hear from people that made the switch.
As others said, don't. I tried 4 years ago. Went from s4 to iphone 6+. After 2 weeks I gave the 6+ to my wife and got the note edge which I still haven't found a good replacement for. My wife loves her iphone (now 8+) but I couldn't make the switch. Coming from android the ui was extremely limiting and I'm no techie.

Online reviewers agree with that. Seems to be the best product out there. While the one plus is the best value. Samsung really doesn't fall in anywhere.

I like android because you can occasionally find good deals for even the high end type of phones (albeit a version or two outdated). DW and I both waited until we found $5 per month phones. It's basically impossible to find iphones at that price.

That, and also there are some pretty good really cheap options from Motorola or some other lesser known brands (I've used the Lenovo Phab2 and Honor 7X, both sub $200 phone, and they are surprisingly good.)

Being tied down to the apple Eco system isn't for me. iPhones are great devices but Android has many fantastic options and I'm hooked to the customization.

I am not disagreeing with that one bit. I feel that Apple is somewhat like the big-government left-wing that thinks they know what's best for you, and will force you into what they believe is best (though unlike the left-wing politicians, they actually make some pretty good stuff, and seem to protect privacy). While Android is more like a libertarian society, allowing everyone to decide what's best for their own good.

That being said, while there are definitely things to dislike about the Apple ecosystem, there are also some very good things there.

Def. iPhones do what they do very well. No doubt about it.

I had the note 7

after it was banned on planes because the battery fire saga I had to give it up so I switched to iPhone and never looked back

iPhone is more controlled and secured so if you prefer more control over your phone stay with android
