Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I have 3. Its It's one by the modem and 2 in other places. My walls are thick concrete so regular wifi wasn't working at all.

Speed is much slower but for my work PC I have it plugged into the modem, and the speeds are just fine for cell phone browsing and streaming on other PC's.

I was going to do a WiFi mesh but I had some open walls so the guy convinced me to do a wired mesh network . Meaning 3 hot spots but it's all the same network .

Mesh is all the same network also.

It seems the Netgear Orbi speed can't be beat.

Right.  meant versus a WiFi extender .
Being that we have each one wired, speed isn't an issue

Orbi uses a backend channel so speed is constant for each node. I will probably hardwire the node also.

Which mesh system do you have?

Ubiquity is the industry standard, and after trying cheaper versions, worth every penny

It took me a minute to get it.  :-[

Just imagine if we'd have 2 or 3 Mesh nodes... (some people here might say we actually do).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
