That's really solid
Of course. I’d expect to get with gigabit 2-300 throughout home w a mesh system. More from the main router.

Cm, if you buy me an Orbi, I’ll test it and post my results here.

In live performance tests, no, unless you are using 2-3gbps across all devices.

For me, I’d need the 3 units to get good coverage. And after plugging in the 23, unless there’s a setting I’m missing the google was better...

And if paying for 3 ac3000 devices, I might as well get an Eero

You live tested the RBK50 against the RBK23?
Why do you need 3 units?

Because there’s 120 feet and 8 sets of walls between where I need the coverage? And I need some of outside to have connection as well?

I need my entire house at at least 100mbps.

What’s the sf?

If you’re referring to a split, that’s not the same as 5 full floors...

So I just set up my google wifi after getting it for $200 on Rakuten.
Only getting 200-300 near the main router and max 50-60 on the top floor.

Does that make sense?

What are your satellites getting? What is your router getting?

With any consumer mesh system, you should not expect near gigabit speeds with a gigabit connection over wireless. but I would expect 2-300mbps given the right hardware.

Don't confuse hardwired speeds with wireless speeds. Look at the speed of your main wireless router gets. Then see what the drop off is with the mesh. With the Orbi RBK50 I see no noticeable drop off. Actually when I ditched the Comcast modem/wireless router for a basic cheap Netgear modem and Orbi mesh my wireless speed when up.

The main router is getting close to 800+. Via wifi, the laptop near the main router is getting 200-300 which is great but the satellites are only getting 50-60 max and they are not placed that far from each other.

1. Basic comcast (and verizon) modem/wireless routers suck. No one should be using them.
2. You only have ~100mbps speed. When you're dealing with gigabit speeds, the dropoff is more considerable. But there's no reason he shouldnt be getting 2-300 all over.
3. Yes - important to isolate what the issue is. What speed is the hardwired router getting? If you were to connect to the main router with a wired connection, what speed do you get? How about wireless 5-10 feet away? What speeds are the satellites getting? Are they hardwired or wireless? If you were to connect to the satellite with a wired connection, what speed do you get? How about wireless 5-10 feet away? How about 50 feet away?
