Not an original idea...  Purchase of Greenland was contemplated back in 1946 for $100 million; offer was reportedly turned town by Denmark.  Truman (a dem) was President then.. haha!!

It was actually even earlier. When the US bought Alaska there was an effort to swap out part of Alaska for Greenland.

Although government's have long stopped giving up sovereignty for $$, so it's a dead shot...

Somebody needs to learn how to map.
