It might be useful to add some names of resorts with relatively low room rates. People will probably be more inclined to buy/use these if they know they can save whatever % on their whole reservation, whereas if they're staying at a hotel where room rates are high, saving x% on $250 of their reservation may only come out to a very small % savings on their whole reservation.

For example, TPG mentioned the Tropicana Law Vegas where (acc to TPG) room rates are around $100, so you could get 2-3 nights for not much more than a $250 credit, which means a buyer can save that % on their whole reservation.

Am I making any sense here? I feel like there must've been a simpler way to say what I wanted to say

It's a very much YMMV when arriving at the hotel and they may or may not ask you for the card.
 Unless you can add a 2nd person to the reservation which would now be an excuse for not having the card?
