Credit freezing affects mailing list?

I froze my EXP and EQ last week and I got a letter in the mail today from EXP saying they had removed me from the pre-approved credit offer mailing lists for 5 years.

I never requested this? Did they do it automatically because I froze my credit report? I had to call a number and opt back in, pain in the butt.

Anyone else had this happen to them?

Yes, happened to me. Those jackasses did that without me asking for that. I went to the opt-in websight but I don't know if that will do anything.

Why wouldn't it do anything? You either opt in or you opt out lol

Thanks. I googled for it and found that already. There's also a website for opting in/out, for the record the website claims freezing won't affect your status regarding marketing offers.

officially when you get a targeted offer, the CC issuer made a soft pull, no?? and when you freeze your report will they still be able to make a soft inquiry?
