Moto g's ftw. Cheap and effective.

For me, "more is less" when it comes to phones

I had the iPhone for three years, changed to LG V30+ a few months ago. Android has many advantages over iOS which took me around a month to get used to, but I still miss some iOS features and it's simpler to use. Also, most of the advantages of the the Android are just nice to have, but don't make a real difference to me (if anything, I just waist more time with it). Still didn't decide what my next phone will be...

Agreed. But android can be significantly cheaper for basically same experience.

That's why I switched. It was $12.50/mo for LGV30+ vs $30-$40/mo for iPhone 8-X

I have had iphones since launched, never thought of switching, but iphones are getting more and more expensive, so for my next phone, might look at Android.
