« on: July 18, 2018, 04:17:11 PM »
Im a newbie to credit cards, Im 23 and just starting out. Which is the best credit card to start off overall. Im not planning to travel a lot, a trip to EY once in a while, just a regular bochurr and iyh newly married lifestyle. My credit score is at 740.

Option 1) Cap1/Citi double cash back and keep an eye out for cheap paid fares.

Option 2) Chase freedom unlimited + Chase Sapphire reserve or Amex blue business plus + Amex business Platinum if you wanna get fancy.

Welcome to DDF!
1. You say your credit score is 740,where are you getting that from?
2. What does your credit report consist of now? And what cards do you have?
3. The burning question is, are you looking for cashback overall, or miles to travel?

The biggest determinant is how you spend your money.

Paying an annual fee for a travel rewards card might not be prudent if you don't spend significant sums in it's bonus categories.

Getting a credit card that has a big bonus for dining out might not be prudent if you eat at home most of the time.

Etc Etc

I checked on experian and it was in the 740. I probably want cash back (or is their a card that does both, travel and cashback) and no annual fee. I have currently 3 cards in my name that is my father account (marriot and spg amex) and td card that stam i was in the bank and they said sign up for td cash card an you'll get 150 dollars). What card should i get?

Why not read through this first to get a basic foundation, as well help you decide which card to get.
