Chiba, JAPAN Where to stay and what to do?

Arriving at NRT, i need to be in Chiba on Aug. 17-18, what is the best hotel deals (perhaps kosher breakfast) also what do i do the rest of the evening?

can't help you with hotel but Chiba has Tokyo Disneyland, beaches and the stadium for the baseball team Chiba Lotte Marines who lucky for you are playing at home on both of the days you'll be there at 6:05.  If you've never been to a Japanese baseball game you have to see it.  Cheering sections, each player has his own fight song, very high energy.
The train in Chiba is called the Keiyo Line (dark red).  The stop for Disneyland is Maihama and the stop for the baseball stadium is Kaihin-Makuhari.  Use hyperdia.com or http://www.jorudan.co.jp/english/norikae/ for train times/routes.  You're not all that far from Tokyo though so it's worth looking at the other thread for that.
