Many people have also had better luck writing to the office of the President for reconsideration on Citi cards:

It was as of April when I wrote in. Don't know if anything has changed since then.

Phone recon on the HH card has proven futile. 4xHUCA.

Reasoning was >6 inqs in 6 mo.  yet was approved in Oct for the AA Pt and had waaaay more than 6 inqs/6 mo. at that time.

>6 with Citi alone, or total?

That wasn't the reason you were denied even if that's what they told you. Citi loves to give Inqs as a reason for denial. Mendelssohn got approved with 20+ Inqs for a Citi card.

It's something else.

Anyone know what time (or around what time) is best to get a credit rep via chat? I've tried last night and they said to try this morning at 9am--no luck.

Why do you have more inquiries than new accounts?
Who do you think you are fooling? You think you are going to pull a quick one on your Creator? Good luck with that.

He could've b* them, but IIRC, EQ B* stopped early this year.

Plus they could've been from other bureau pulls.

B* used to be my favorite hobby ;D
That would explain more accounts than inquiries (although there's a much simpler explanation for that), but not more inquiries than accounts. (Please don't say CLI requests.)

I obviously misread it.  But to answer why more inquiries than accounts.

Either new app denials and yes CLI requests : :D

TBH, nobody really pulls EQ these days for CLI's besides Citi. Plus usually you could get a soft CLI anyway

That's more denials than I would expect. And I think pretty few people here would take a hard pull for a CLI request. (And it should be more then one account per inquiry.)

Big Banks with soft CLI requests
Amex: always Soft
Barclays: soft and hard
Bank of America: hards almost always. (Recent report of soft, but don't count on it)
Capital one: always soft
Citi: soft and hard
Chase: always hard unless you get an auto CLI
Discover: soft and hard

I should add this list I made to a wiki somewhere in sure. Any thread I should add to?

Or maybe I should create a new thread for it?

Hopefully TimT will have a suggestion.  And you should also put in consolidation data.
