Many people have also had better luck writing to the office of the President for reconsideration on Citi cards:

Does Citi recon allow transfering credit from existing account to new account to get a card approved?

Any reports of Citi recon taking credit from current cards to open up a new card, ala Chase?

Looking for business data points.

ETA:

Looks like a personal data point a few posts up:

I did it about a month ago, but they moved the entire credit line and closed the card.

ETA: It was a personal to personal.

I guess I assume they do it for Biz as well, but we have a dearth of reports.

Does Citi still require two years of history on two different cards to approve? Are they at all lenient with that?

Do you know around how lenient? ;)
I have one card for about 4 years, and another for about 1.5 years.

i just applied few days ago for personal for 50k before this was out, and havent heard anything back yet. any chance applying for 100k now would enable me to have them approve that instead of the 50k one?

i dont know about closing a current card to open a new one, but i do know they definitely do not allow transferring credit lines between existing business cards, even if ure closing one of them.

Got denied for the platinum. Called up again and rep said they have no recon dept. found the number in the thread and called up and spoke to supervisor. She says although I'm really good with my credit and she really wants to approve my app, they have a policynot to give any card (besides secure and student) to anyone with fewer than 5 years and 5 lines of credit . Is this true, or a classic case of DROPR and HUCA? FTR, I have about 1 year and 4 lines.

Upthread someone mentioned that it was two years on two cards, so either things have changed or you should HUCA
